How Often Should Your Pool Be Serviced?

One of the most common questions we get is how often a pool really needs a professional service. The honest answer: it depends on your pool, your yard and how much you're happy to do yourself between visits.
Weekly service
Best for pools that get heavy use, pools surrounded by trees, and owners who don't want to lift a finger. Weekly visits catch problems before they turn into green water, and are the closest thing to a set-and-forget pool in a Brisbane summer.
Fortnightly service
A good middle ground for many family pools. Between visits you'd typically empty the skimmer basket, keep an eye on the water level and run the pump and chlorinator for the right hours — we handle the testing, chemicals, cleaning and equipment checks.
Monthly service
Suits owners who look after the day-to-day themselves but want a professional water test, chemical balance, equipment check and a deep clean once a month. It works best for pools with few trees nearby and consistent home care.
What changes the answer
- Season: pools need more attention in the hot, stormy months than in winter.
- Trees and leaves: leafy yards fill baskets and use up chlorine faster.
- Use: more swimmers means more sunscreen, sweat and debris to deal with.
- Equipment: a well-sized pump, clean filter and healthy chlorinator cell make any schedule easier.
- Holidays: going away? A one-off or holiday service keeps the pool on track while you're gone.
What's included in our service
Every regular service includes a water test, baskets, skimming, brushing, vacuuming, filter and cell care, a check of the pump, filter and cleaner, and chemicals added to match the water analysis — followed by a report of what we did and anything we recommend.
