How to add hydrochloric acid to lower pH
- Half fill a bucket with water and measure hydrochloric acid carefully to avoid fumes and spillage.
- Add acid to the water in the bucket and mix well with an implement.
- Spread the acid solution evenly over the pool surface and run the filter for at least two hours before swimming.
- Avoid adding other chemicals until the acid has dispersed.
For optimal comfort and to improve the effectiveness of other chemicals: Maintain pH levels between 7.2 and 7.6.
