How to add hydrochloric acid to lower pH

  1. Half fill a bucket with water and measure hydrochloric acid carefully to avoid fumes and spillage.
  2. Add acid to the water in the bucket and mix well with an implement.
  3. Spread the acid solution evenly over the pool surface and run the filter for at least two hours before swimming.
  4. Avoid adding other chemicals until the acid has dispersed.

For optimal comfort and to improve the effectiveness of other chemicals: Maintain pH levels between 7.2 and 7.6.
