How to clean filter cartridges

Cleaning of the cartridge will be necessary when the pressure gauge reaches a maximum of 110 kPa.

• Switch off the pump and open the air-release valve on the filter lid, allowing water to drain from the tank.
• Loosen the clamping band and remove the filter lid to expose cartridge(s).
• Lift out cartridge from the filter tank and hose clean with a strong jet of water, start at the top of the cartridge and work downwards. We DO NOT recommend using a “gurney”.
• When clean, reinstall the cartridge(s) in the tank.
• Make sure the lid gasket or o-ring is clean and lubed before fitting and clamping the lid in place.
• Switch the pump on and allow air to be expelled from the air release valve until water flows out.
• Close the air release valve – the filter is now ready for normal operation.
